Clinical profiles and management of atopic dermatitis in adult patients

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease, characterized by the appearance of redness, rash and itching. The prevalence in adults was around 1-3%. Due to relapse, general there has been no satisfactory management AD. This Retrospective study new adult atopic patients Dr. Soetomo General Academic Hospital Surabaya. data were collected from medical records. Out 243 AD patient 167 female (68.7%) 76 male (31.3%). largest age group 20-34 years old with total 137 (56.4%). most precipitating factor food 91 (37.4%). given oral therapy antihistamines 168 (69.1%) widely administered topical moisturizer 147 (60.5%).
